The Green Car Journal has announced the finalist vehicles competing for theGreen Car of the Year. The five participants were chosen from a long list of applicants that is growing each year.
In reality, this award is not exclusive to electric or hybrid cars, but also vehicles that use only an internal combustion engine but thanks to a series of technologies offer high efficiency.
And the finalists are:
Honda accord
The new generation of Accord offers great performance, providing high efficiency in any of its three engine options: two four-cylinder turbo engines and a hybrid option. Its key is that its engines use low inertia turbos, variable valve timing and direct injection to offer immediate response and great fuel efficiency.
Honda clarity
One of the great attributes of this Honda is that it has electric models, plug-in hybrids or hydrogen fuel cell. The Clarity Plug-in Hybrid, for example, offers an electric range of 75 km and a total range of 547 km.
Hyundai ioniq
